For the Rose Breeder Pledge, how much can I customize?

If you pledge at the Rose Breeder level, part of the reward is that you get to design an Order Card. That is to say, you get to design it pretty much completely. You do have to stay within the template and use the art assets for the game itself and it has to be reasonably socially acceptable.

Use art assets from the game. For example, no Purple Daises.

It has to be family acceptable according to me. That means, not vulgar, racist, sexist, or too gross etc. This should go without saying but hey, it’s 2019…

You can use your name, a friend’s name, a made up name etc providing it’s not copyrighted i.e. No ‘Dear Voldemort…. Thanks Harry’ kind of thing.

You can use quotes if they are properly attributed and fact checked.

You can dedicate the card to people you know or events, providing it is respectful and ‘dignified’ according to me. (ie. No celebrating someone being hit by a bus. )

Due to the nature of the game and the temporal and polarizing nature of Politics and Religion, you should avoid those.

I am the final arbitrator. I am flexible, and understanding, but I am also ultimately the one that would get sued should something go wrong. ;-) I will work with you on all of this, but my decisions are ultimately final.

It may seem like a lot of rules, but when you consider that this will be part of the game, and seen around the world, you can see how you might want to make a good impression. Right?

You are also entitled to an embroidered Draw Bag. You can have anything Text or Line Art you like put onto the bag because this is your personal bag sent to just you and won’t be included in every copy of the game. So providing that it fits on the bag and it Text or Line Art, you can do it. I’ll help you get the sizing etc right.

If I am a Retailer, and I sell Online, can I still pledge as a Retailer?

We want to support Friendly Local Game Stores. We do this by encouraging group buys to go through FLGSs to consolidate their purchased to save on shipping etc.

I do realize that more and more, FLGSs are also selling online. At this time, to qualify as a retailer you do need to have a physical presence that people can walk in and purchase the game at. If you sell online in addition to your physical store, that is fine and you qualify as a Retailer.

If you are online only, at this time we would ask you to purchase through our distributors.

If I pledge as a Retailer, can I pay for my games now by pledging the full amount?

Yes, you can do this. The MoQ is 7 copies and you are welcome to pledge the whole amount so you know you’re squared up. This also helps us know early how many copies we need to print in case it’s over our estimated print run. Please see our Retailer Page linked to from the Campaign page for more information on costing.

Why is shipping to places like Norway and South America so much more expensive?

I don’t have the answer. Shipping companies, and that is all of them, charge more to ship to those countries. I don’t set their costings, so please don’t shoot the messenger. Please do feel free to get in touch with them and ask them though.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
